National Academic Advisory Board
Public Interest Institute is pleased to
welcome three leading authorities in the field of economics to
our National Academic Advisory Board. First, Dr. Richard Wagner
has agreed to serve as Chairman of the Advisory Board. He will be
joined by eleven other scholars in the fields of political
science, public policy, and economics, including Dr. Peter
Aranson of Emory University and Dr. Richard Vedder of Ohio
University, both of whom are profiled here.
Dr. Wagner is the Holbert R. Harris Professor of Economics at
George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia where he has taught
since 1988. His writings have covered a broad range of topics in
political economy, public policy, and public finance. He has
written over 20 books, including Public Debt in a Democratic
Society, Democracy in Deficit (both co-authored with
Nobel laureate James Buchanan), and To Promote the General
Welfare. Dr. Wagner has also served as Scholar-in-Residence
at Public Interest Institute.
